Yesterday morning I woke up at 4:45am and headed to the gym. Well, I was actually already awake because of Roxiemo.
She decided that she needed to re-arrange her bedding all. night. long. So, needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. I was already awake at around 4:30 and I figured if I went back to sleep for a short amount of time, I would be even more tired by the time I got up. So off to the gym I went.
Workout:
I ended up doing 40 minutes of cardio on the StairMaster in the form of HIIT intervals. Can you tell I have an
obsession with HIIT lately? Here is what my workout looked like:
It was a good one and I was a sweat mess after it was all said and done.
After my workout I headed home to shower so I could be at the office by 7:30.
Breakfast:
I ate breakfast at my desk which included cream of rice, scrambled eggs (prepared right before I walked out the door) and some coffee with a bit of french vanilla coconut creamer.
Lunch
I broke one of my cardinal rules and did not prepare lunch for myself. Since I didn't have food I decided make a quick five minute drive across the highway and give My Fit Foods a shot.
I've heard about My Fit Foods numerous times but haven't had a reason to use them because I'm usually well prepared when it comes to my weekly meals. They had a great selection of both breakfast, lunch and dinner items to choose from.
I ended up getting the Almond Crusted Chicken with Smashed Gouda Potatoes and Cilantro Lime Turkey.
I had the chicken yesterday and the turkey this afternoon. The verdict...they were pretty good! I liked the fact that they have a barcode on the side so I can scan the meal in to
My Fitness Pal to help me
track my macros.
If I'm ever in a pinch and don't have any meals with me, this will be a great option to use for healthy meals. I'm a fan!
Have you ever used a meal service to help keep you on track with your fitness goals?
